DescriptionIn the 1920s, Bauhaus student Paul Klein developed an approach to bookbinding that would transport the art form into the twentieth century. Known as the 'PeKa' stamp, Klein created a model that incorporated the pure ornamentation of historic bookbinding with a typeface derived from the creative innovations of the period. The selection on display here form part of a portfolio he published in collaboration with Paul Kersten, one of the most respected names of modern German bookbinding.
