Aesop’s Fables

A study of a 15th century illustrated book

Woodcut illustration

Incunabula are among the most precious items in any library and the University is privileged to have a significant collection of them. These early printed books offer insights into the evolution of bibliophilia, printing, and the popularisation of certain texts.

This exhibition takes a closer look at a collection of stories, from 1486, by the Greek fabulist Aesop.
