Most of Robert’s student experience was as a medic. He took general courses in physics, chemistry and zoology in his first year, and then two years each of Anatomy and Embryology and Physiology and Biochemistry. His classes took him from the Medical School in Teviot Place to King’s Buildings on the south side of Edinburgh.
